Ni hao! That means 'hello' ... one of only three things I know how to say in Chinese!
I've been sleeping in my own bed now for almost two weeks, yet my body (mostly my heart) is still on China time. Although I won't be eating Chinese food for a very long time, I hunger every day for the connections that were made during my six-week stay at Sias International University, teaching 80 eager and delightfully fresh young women of The World Academy for the Future of Women.
Mine was the Leadership and Female Empowerment module, and I'm not sure who learned more, my students or me. I make every effort, every day, to stay in the glow, to be mindful of the lessons taught and learned, and to stay in connection with every student there and every human here who wants to know more. And so, my blog continues:
"The freedom to be who I am, with no history, no known identity, was an unexpected gift from this experience."
"The words 'life changing' gently scream the intensity, the powerful impact, the forever significance of this journey that has 'moved in' to my soul."
And from Crystal, one of my students; "I have never really thought about being brave before now - and to be real and true to myself. Now I think loving yourself first is the foundation to being a great leader."
I want to bring the lessons of intuitive leadership to the world. I want to help people know how to serve in a higher, much deeper way. There's an urgency in these questions: How can I move my passion into action? How can I balance strategic thinking with trusting the intuitive? We are all looking for new ways of working, new ways of leading, new ways to create a better future. We know our world today cries out for alternatives, for innovation and for pioneering.
Which brings me back to my blog. It really writes itself. I close my eyes, and I go there, taking you with me. So go ahead -- take a peek http://susanserves.wordpress.com/). Read a story or two. Ask me questions. Invite me to share the biggest and best lessons. Your comments inspire me, hoping that my story inspires you to step up and be a hero in your own life. Maybe, just maybe, you can take your passion to a cause that's much bigger than you.
My best,
