Did you hear that Cookies from Home has a new owner? It's true ... and it's all good.

When Barry and I 'birthed' Cookies from Home back in the 70's (!!!), I had a dream to brighten the days of every cookie lover by serving, no treating! our customers to a Service Enthusiasm experience with the best homemade cookies on the planet.

And this dream continues; ready to expand to a whole new level of serving.

I'm on board 110 percent, heading up the Sales and Marketing helm, realizing with a vested interest the potential of what I always knew Cookies from Home could be. Stay tuned for new projects and new products. It's an exhilarating time!

And, yes, during all this excitement, my journey to China is now but weeks away. The World Academy for the Future of Women is all the rage at the University of SIAS. I will be standing on the shoulders of the facilitators before me, arriving just in time to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Tiger.

Ah, the Year of the Tiger ... how perfectly synchronistic with my Leadership program! The tiger is China's King/Queen of the Jungle; the symbol for courage, resiliency, self-reliance, and hope. It's known, just like any great leader, for its unpredictable, yet dependable quality of fearlessly thinking on its feet, a lesson I live every day.

The tiger, like all creatures and processes in nature, is my teacher; reminding me to embrace change and the natural order of all living things. It's the constancy of the sun rising every day, the crisp and clean air that follows the rain, the deeply-rooted tree that withstands the storm.
